According to Source #1, Kelly abused a freshman student during the 1955-1956 school year when Kelly was giving he student piano lessons.

According to Source #2, Kelly abused students while giving piano lessons and Kelly may have been sent to Indian Mission in Northern Minnesota after being reported.

According to Source #3, Abbot Jerome said that Kelly was dismissed because he couldn't control himself.

According to Source #4, Father James Kelly was removed from St. Josephs in north Minneapolis to St. Marys in Stillwater after rumors surfaced about his indulgence with altar boys.
